Stone Threshold

A villa built around a stone entry stair the client had specifically asked for.

Local limestone, cut thick and left with a rough face on the risers, carries from the front door through to the main hall. The rest of the house is intentionally quieter than that first move — plaster walls, timber joinery, and a restrained window pattern that keeps the stair as the one deliberate gesture.
